Hello and welcome. My name is Summer J. Robinson.

 

I’m an Atlanta-based writer, filmmaker, and narrative strategist devoted to preserving legacy through storytelling. I’ve been telling stories for as long as I can remember—first in my childhood journals, then through short stories, screenplays, books, and documentary film. Since 2014, I’ve written professionally and built a body of work that bridges creative expression, cultural preservation, and healing through the written word.

I published my first book, Discovering Summer Abroad: A Teen’s Journey to Africa, in 2014. That same year, I ghostwrote my first autobiography for Sheila Baltazar, a mother who lost her son during the Atlanta Child Murders. That early experience shaped the foundation of my work: story as remembrance, story as justice, story as healing.

Over the past decade, I’ve written and edited books for memoirists, elders, educators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Through Silver Bangles Productions, I’ve helped bring memoirs, children’s books, poetry collections, and legacy projects into the world—while also producing storytelling-centered films and documentaries that honor Black Southern life and intergenerational wisdom.

My work extends beyond publishing. I’ve taught memoir writing in classrooms, libraries, international spaces, and retreat settings. I’ve facilitated intergenerational storytelling programs connecting teenagers and elders. I’ve witnessed firsthand how returning to one’s life on the page can unlock clarity, dignity, and transformation.

Silver Bangles was built on a simple belief: every life holds narrative power. Whether through a book, a classroom, a film, or a recorded conversation, preserving story is preserving legacy.

Each person I work with carries something sacred — memory, history, resilience, testimony. My role is to help shape it with care, structure it with excellence, and release it into the world with integrity.
